OAKVILLE CONTRIBUTION REBATE

Oakville residents can receive a 50% rebate on contributions of $100 or more under the Town’s contribution rebate program. Signs, flyers, and the meet-and-greet hall are paid for by neighbours; choose the method that works best for you.

Contribution rules

  • Individuals living in Ontario may contribute up to $1,200 per candidate, with a $5,000 total limit for candidates running for the same council.
  • Corporations and trade unions cannot contribute to municipal candidates.
  • Contributions over $100 are publicly disclosed with the contributor’s name, address, and amount.
  • Oakville’s rebate requires candidate enrolment and donor eligibility. Confirm campaign participation before relying on a rebate.
