Helping parents participate in school life
The 2019 HDSB parent conference programme lists Zena and Jason Moir as co-presenters of a workshop on parent engagement.
Parents contribute to school life in many ways. The programme for the HDSB parent conference on October 19, 2019 listed Zena Al-Mudaris and Jason Moir together for a workshop titled Promoting Parent Engagement.
The session description explored ways parents could support a child's learning beyond traditional ideas of involvement. It welcomed parents and encouraged school council chairs and Parent Involvement Committee representatives to attend.
The programme is preserved with an HDSB letter in the Waterloo Region District School Board's November 25, 2019 meeting package. The workshop listing appears on printed page 48.
